And just like that, @fairmontbanff has welcomed the final group of new Heartists to the mountains this year. 🌄

In 2025, our Learning & Development team hosted 25 Orientation sessions, introducing around 850 new colleagues to the Heartist experience, culture, and the magic of living in the Canadian Rockies. Each session was more than just an introduction, it was the start of a journey filled with connection, growth, and unforgettable moments.

We’re already looking ahead to 2026, excited to meet even more talented individuals ready to bring their passion and energy to our team.

Last year, we introduced @orbisk_zero_food_waste AI image recognition technology in our staff cafeterias. Each plate that comes back is scanned, giving us real insights into what’s being wasted and in what amounts.

With outfits crafted from recycled and discarded materials (yes, you read that right!) and only 10% new fabric allowed, the creativity was off the charts. From runway-ready gowns to jaw-dropping designs, followed by talent performances that lit up the room, the energy was unforgettable.

This week is all about celebrating the creativity, teamwork, and passion our housekeeping colleagues bring every single day on the job and on the stage!

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming hospitality students to a special SWEP event where they got to learn directly from our experienced culinary team.

With over 12 years of experience in beverage management and as a Top 3 Finalist in World Class Canada (one of the world’s most prestigious cocktail competitions), Sam brought expertise, flair, and passion to the session.
