International Experience Canada (IEC)

Through bilateral youth mobility arrangements and agreements with different countries around the world, Canadians and non-Canadians can travel and work in each other’s countries for 1-2 years. The three experience pools include: Working Holiday Visa, International Co-Op & Young Professionals. Only certain countries are eligible to apply for an IEC work permit.

You need to be approved for a working holiday visa before you can accept a job at any Fairmont hotel.

If you are a student currently studying at a post-secondary education institution you may be able to get hotel resort work experience in your field of study with an International Co-Op work permit. You will need a job offer before you can apply for this type of permit.

You can gain Canadian hospitality work experience with the Young Professional work permit. The job must have a certain classification to be eligible for this type of visa and you will require a job offer before you can apply for this type of permit.

Francophone Mobility

The Francophone Mobility Program allows international skilled workers who are fluent in English and French to receive work permits to Canada in a fast, cheap and reliable way.

It is important to note that in order to be eligible for this work permit, candidates must communicate fluently in French at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7. You will need to score CLB 7 for each of the four abilities: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
