Monthly Heartist Photo & Video Contest
How do you live your "Mountain Life"? We want to see your best photos and videos showcasing life in the mountains! Submissions are open to all colleagues working at Canada's Western Mountain Region.
May's Theme: Best of Your Camera Roll
This month, the theme is wide open, inviting you to share your most breathtaking, heartwarming, and unforgettable moments captured on your phone amidst the mountains. Whether it's stunning landscapes, candid shots of wildlife, cherished memories with friends or loved ones, or any other mountain marvel, if it's on your phone, it fits the bill!

STEP 1: Input Your Information
By checking this box, you are agreeing to a non-exclusive license to your photos and videos for use by Canada's Western Mountain Region hotels. You certify that your submission is your own creative property and you allow Canada's Western Mountain Region hotels to use your content for internal and external promotions. Prize Information
At the end of each month, our team will review all photo and video submissions and select one winner who will receive a $250 Fairmont Gift Card. We will reach out to you directly through email to announce if you've won. The winner will be contacted no later than the 15th day of the following month to claim their prize. The next months theme will be posted and advertised throughout your hotel on the 1st of the month.
Contest Rules

Contest is only open to current colleagues of Canada’s Western Mountain Region

Submissions for each monthly theme will only be accepted from the first day to last day of said month

All photos or videos submitted must be captured and owned by submitter

You may submit as many photos and videos as you would like each month

Any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated rules will be disqualified

Videos should not exceed 30 seconds in length
Judgment Criteria
Winners will be determined by an internal panel of judges. The judgement criteria will be based on:

Alignment with the monthly theme

Quality of content (no filters, video stability, photos are in focus, etc.)

Ability to capture the feeling of ‘Mountain Life’
*Please respect your work environment, colleagues and guest privacy, when taking pictures while working. Taking photos should not interfere with work or the guest experience and should not violate our guests’ privacy. Photos must not show guests’ identity/faces and please ask permission of your fellow Heartists to use their image in your submission.
