The Student Work Experience Program (SWEP) combines valuable work experience with the fun, energetic lifestyle that you would expect from living in the stunning western mountain region of Canada.
If you are a talented and motivated individual that’s enrolled in a hospitality, tourism, culinary, golf or hotel and restaurant management program, the Student Work Experience Program offered at Fairmont's Mountain Region can be an excellent way to apply your classroom knowledge in a professional setting. Being part of SWEP means you will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the hospitality industry within the operations of Canada’s most breathtaking resorts. It can also serve as a valuable stepping stone towards a career in hospitality management or related fields. SWEP is most popular in the summer months (May - September), but also has smaller classes in Fall (September - December) and Winter (January - April) as well.
Students can expect to work in various departments such as guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, golf and more! Participants will receive top of the line training and mentorship from experienced professionals in their field and have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects and initiatives within the hotel.
