There Ain't No Staff Party like a Fairmont Staff Party

At Fairmont's Mountain Region, we like to ensure that our colleagues feel appreciated and have the chance to experience our hotels and mountain surroundings in the same caliber that our guests do. One of the ways we achieve this is by throwing epic staff events. From Summer BBQs to Christmas Galas, it's safe to say that Fairmont knows how to throw an unforgettable party.

Candian workplaces that appreciate their staff

In each of our mountain properties, we boast a dedicated team committed to ensuring you make the most of your experience in your mountain town. From monthly staff activities and team-building exercises to some of the most anticipated events of each season, there’s no doubt you’ll be making memories that last a lifetime. Picture group hikes amidst breathtaking scenery, serene yoga classes, thrilling trivia nights, competitive golf tournaments, summer Olympics filled with camaraderie, exhilarating regatta races, and so much more. These are just a glimpse of the exciting opportunities awaiting you when you choose to live and work in Fairmont's Canadian Western Mountain Region.

Depending on the hotel, you'll discover a host of unique activities and events tailored to your location. At the iconic Lake Louise, anticipation builds for the highly awaited hockey tournament on the world's finest outdoor rink (ODR – Canadian terminology). Meanwhile, Jasper Park Lodge has initiated a captivating tradition of department-versus-department regatta racing. Over at the Banff Springs, boasting one of Canada's top ranked golf courses, you'll find the perfect setting for a spirited tournament among friends. Nestled at the base of Whistler Blackcomb, Chateau Whistler offers an unparalleled setting for exhilarating ski and snowboard outings. Each location promises its own brand of adventure and excitement, ensuring an unforgettable experience tailored to your tastes.

While each location prefers to add its unique touch, there are two events that remain consistent across the board every year: the Annual Holiday Gala and the Welcome Summer BBQ. These events, unlike any other, stand as the biggest highlights of the year for our staff.

The Welcome Summer BBQ kicks off the arrival of warmer weather and signals the beginning of a season filled with exciting summer activities. Dance the night away with your friends and indulge in delicious food, fantastic music, and the chance to win some fabulous prizes! No BBQ would be complete without a touch of friendly competition—whether it's playing lawn games or taking aim at dunking your favorite manager in the dunk tank.

Get ready to dazzle in your most glamorous attire for a night that will leave a lasting impression. The highly anticipated Annual Holiday Gala is the ultimate celebration of Fairmont's most invaluable asset - its staff. An unforgettable evening awaits, featuring delectable cuisine, exquisite drinks, a live DJ, a fun photo booth, incredible prizes, and more. It's the pinnacle event of the year for our staff. One of the highlights of the gala is the recognition of our Colleague and Manager of the Year. The recipient of this prestigious award receives a large cash bonus to be spent towards an "experience of a lifetime", a stunning arrangement of flowers, and a beautiful plaque engraved with their name, a memento to cherish forever.

If you're wondering who is dressed as Ken from the "Barbie movie, that is our Regional Vice President...

Fairmont's Canadian Western Mountain Region hosts some of the most exceptional staff events in the company, but the excitement doesn't end there. Each month, a diverse range of activities awaits all our colleagues across our mountain properties in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, and Whistler. From the Pride Brunch and Canada Day celebrations to the kids' Christmas party and Halloween gatherings, there's something for everyone. Whether it's competing in Mario Kart tournaments, unleashing your creativity at paint and sip events, enjoying movie nights, refining your mixology skills at cocktail classes, or participating in the thrilling Summer Olympics, there is always something to do after work hours.
